When a gamer starts a game and loses at a level or against somebody competively and continually tries again but fails and the Gamer is a constant cycle of starting over to the point where the gamer  feels  he can’t do this any  more and rages out. It affects not only the gamer  but everyone around the Gamer . Sometimes the violent nature of the game predisposes the gamer to physically act out his frustration on himself and everyone around him . An example of this might be while playing the game Call of Duty I can be prone to fits of outbursts at myself and others . I have thrown the controller against the wall almost hitting  a family member . The violent nature of the game as well as the very real graphics make it seem like the action is happening in real time and it can be so frustrating when you may not be able to advance to the next level. There is also the reputation of a gamer every time a gamer and his friends play and it could get really competive  and then there will be thrash talking and somebody who can’t take it and rages out on everyone. There is a way to combat this, one you can’t win them all there is going to be a point where you going to lose either you learn from or just don’t play the game at all. Second if you start to get mad turn off the game and take a walk outside this also work when you are playing competitively with your friends and family. Third, learn some better strategies when playing competitively especially a game like Street Fighter learn to be on the defense instead of being on the offense. Lastly, just remember this is only a video game people are trying to have fun not rage out.

Star Fox Assault is 3D scrolling shooter and third person shooter video game shooter created by Namco and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. It is the fourth installment to the Star Fox franchise. It was released on February 14, 2005 in North America. The game is set after the events after Star Fox Adventures and follows Fox Mc Cloud and his friends attempting  save the Lylat System from the enemy insect beings called Apariods.
Gameplay
The game is divided in to three types, where the player can fly the Arwing spacecraft, drive the land master tank or go on foot this is also available in multiplayer however there are certain maps you can or can’t use the Arwing or the Land Master.
Story 
After the evil monkey scientist Andross  was defeated for the second time his nephew Andrew Onkinny a former Star Wolf team member took over as leader of the venomian empire. Knowing the threat that Andrew poses, General Pepper hires a mercenary team named Star Fox which consist of Fox Mc Cloud as the leader, Slippy Toad as the Mechanic, Falco Lombardi as the ace pilot, Krystal the newest member of the team serves as a telepath, Peppy Hare as a mentor for the team and ROB 64 as tactical support to assist him and the Conerian military to battle Onkinny and his forces around the orbit of Fortuna. After cornering the appointed emperor he was killed by an insect like creature that also attacked Star Fox after defeating the unknown creature Fox retrieved it core memory. Fox gives the core memory to Slippy’s father Benito who is the head of Cornerian military research program and explains the creature that killed Onkinny and attacked Fox and his team is called an Apariod and it destroyed a patrolling Cornerian fleet Seventeen years ago .To further this research this Benito asks Fox and his team to recover a completed version of the core memory. After being lured by a false distress signal, the Star Fox Team were deceived by a free lance bounty hunter named Pigma Dengar who steals the core memory and wants to  sell it to the Highest bidder. Star Fox encounters Star Wolf and they tell Fox of Pigma’s location when encounter Pigma again he was infected with the Apariods Fox destroys him and retrieves the second core memory and sends it to Benito.
While Star Fox destroys the Apariods on Sauria, the Apariords invaded Corneria and infected General Pepper Star Fox wipes out the insect army with the help from Star Wolf. After Researching the core memory Benito discovers the location of the Aparoids and found out they are weak to apoptosis and  makes a Program which if fired correctly at the Apariod Queen all of the Apariods will self destruct. Fox and his team travel to the Aparoid Home World only to discover the planet has a regenerative shield.  Peppy and Rob 64 crashed in to the shield with the Great Fox after being infected by the aparoids giving Star Fox and Star Wolf an opening to the planet’s core. They reached to the core and the Queen tries to convince Fox to join her but fails. Fox fires the program in the queen causing all of the Aparoids on the planet and the planet itself to self destruct and the game ends.

Reception

The game received average reviews Ign giving it a 7 out of 10 and Metacritic giving the game a 71 out of 100.  

Dragon ball z Supersonic Warriors is a fighting game based on the anime Dragon ball z the first game was developed by Arc System and Cavia and was released on the Gameboy advance on June 22, 2004

Gameplay
The game pits two characters of the Dragon ball franchise in large environments, Where the fighting was done in the air. The player can use weak and strong melee attacks, charge KI, launch KI blasts and the dragon ball z characters have a unique Certain kill abilities but it varies depending on where the player is located above, horizontal and below the opponent. This game features a tag team option where the player can have up to three characters for a three on three match with the computer. 
Story Mode
This game mode allows the player to select the thirteen what if story arcs from the thirteen playable characters of this game which are (Goku, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta, future Trunks and Gotenks) for the Heroes and for the villians (Frieza,Cell, Captain Ginyu, Doctor Gero, Android 18 and Majin Buu).Also  there are three story arcs that follow the main timeline such as the Namek, Cell and the Majin Buu saga.In the story arcs the player face against 6-8 opponents where the next opponent gets difficult as the story progresses. Once the player completes a character’s story arc, the player is rewarded with points that could be spend in options mode to unlock new characters to battle in the arcs.
Challenge Mode
The Player can select up to three characters to form a team and battle the pre set enemy teams generated by the computer AI. As the player defeats the enemy team a new enemy team is unlocked and more battles won means more points earned.
Z Battle Mode
The player can form a team or choose one character to fight against 8 opponents the mode ranks the player after the battle and the player is rewarded with points.
Training Mode
This mode allows the player either to follow the tutorial or use the computer opponent as practice dummy.
Free Battle Mode
In free battle mode the player can set up their own fight.
Multiplayer Mode
Allows the player link up with friend to play this mode

This received average reviews not bad for a game that was made for system that was known for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.  

 

Homefront is first person shooter Game developed by Kaos Studios and published by THQ it was released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Microsoft windows on March 11, 2011. The game was set in 2027, taking place in various locations across the west coast as Resistance members aid the United States Military by stealing fuel from the Koreans.

Plot

As tension begin to mount in the Korean Peninsula  North Korea continues to stockpile their nuclear weapons further straining relations with the United States and South Korea. On December 2011 Kim Jong IL passed away leaving the Hermit Kingdom in the hands of his son Kim Jong Un. Two years later North and South Korea unified and became the Greater Korea Republic.  Sixteen years later , Former helicopter pilot Robert Jacobs is living Montrose, Colorado under Korean occupation. After waking up in his make shift apartment, he was greeted by the Commanding Officer and his bodyguards who are going to send him to a re-education camp in Alaska. The trip was cut short when Jacobs’ bus was attacked by American Resistance fighters Connor Morgan a former Marine, Rianna an expert Hunter. Jacobs is led to their hideout called the Oasis where it’s  led by a policeman named Boone Karlson. Boone, Connor and Rianna are aware of Jacobs’ Military resume and recruit him for their mission to track and steal the Korean army fuel trucks for the US armed forces in San Francisco. Boone starts his plan with himself, Jacobs, Connor, Rianna and another resistance member named Hopper Lee a Korean-American Technical expert. Before they could the trucks the Montrose rebel cell have get some tracking beacons at Montrose High School which is being used as a Concentration camp. To get the beacons they contact an inside man named Arnie while enroute to the prison camp Boone is wounded from a sentry tower leaving Connor, Jacobs and Hopper to get the beacons. When they got to the prison some people were  not happy to see the resistance at the prison. Once they meet up with Arnie he takes to the Administrative building however he betrays the group and a gunfight ensues. Connor, Hopper and Jacobs grabbed the beacons and escaped prison camp they discovered a Mass Grave which made Connor boil over and killed all the guards that were trying cover up the grave. Reinforcements show up after Connor’s American warpath the group  hides in the grave until the reinforcements leave. Connor, Rianna, Jacobs and Hopper go in to the next phase of Boone’s plan which is to place the tracking beacons on the fuel trucks at the enemy supply depot. The team was successful in placing the tracking beacon on one of the fuel trucks at a cost of many resistance fighters lives.  After completing the costly mission the group returns to the Oasis only to find all of the occupants including Boone dead. Devastated of the lost of their leader, Jacobs, Connor, Rianna and Hopper continue with the third phase of the San Francisco fuel plan. The only thing that is stopping them is the Fortress wall that keeps people trapped in the town. They managed to breach the wall and escape into the wildernessinto the wilderness where they would find one of Boone’s contacts who had a helicopter stashed at their hideout. The group reached to the survivalist farm in Utah but the residents of the camp were not too friendly to Montrose group and they had no choice but to steal the helicopter instead of dealing with the crazy group. After taking the helicopter the group catches up with the fuel trucks and hijacked them while they were on the move. With air support the Montrose rebel cell successfully delivered the fuel trucks to an American army base in Marin county California. Now having the fuel for their fighter jets the army asks the help from the Montrose resistance fighters again to retake the golden gate bridge and destroy the Anti Aircraft guns. The fighting was intense as Connor, Jacobs , Rianna, Hopper and U.S army get up the bridge. When they almost reached the other side of the bridge a massive Korean convoy headed towards them with no access to heavy artillery Connor had no choice but to call in a danger close air strike by running to the convoy with a flare in his hand. The fighters saw the flare and drop their ordinance on the Convoy. After the battle the British news reported that the battle of San Francisco was the turning point and the European union decided to help the United states to defeat the Korean war machine.
Reception 
The game received mixed reviews, some praise the game for the story and other complained how the story is not long enough however, the game got a lot praise from it’s Multiplayer mode where the player use vehicles that were in the campaign like in Frontlines: the fuel of war another first person shooter game also made by kaos studios.

Facts 
Homefront the game was based on Homefront the voice of freedom where a group of reporter follow the same characters in the game in the early days of the Korean Occupation. It released in January 25, 2011.

Heroes Over Europe is a World War 2 arcade flying game developed by Transmission games and published by Ubisoft games on September 15, 2009 and it is the sequel to Heroes over The Pacific. Heroes over Europe follows the story of three pilots from England, New Zealand and The United States from the battle of Britain to the final days World War 2. This game features 40 world war 2 planes such as The North American P51 Mustang and The Messerschmitt Bf 109. The game also has Multiplayer mode where up to  16 online players can play 3 game modes dogfights, survivor and team survivor mode.

Story

Although The game follows three pilots but the game focuses on the American pilot named Tom Forester who wants to become a fighter pilot like his father who served in world war 1 with the famous French Squadron Lafayette Esquadrille. He got accepted in to the 79th squadron of the Royal Air Force and is sent to the French Alps where he meets his squad mate Clifford stone, a World war 1 veteran during a routine scouting mission the two became friends. After France falls to Nazis Tom and Clifford was sent back to England to defend the country Germans what is now know as the Battle of Britain.  The Two became quite formidable from defending English Merchant ships and coastal installations to defending an airbase from enemy fighters and bombers. On September 7, 1940  after successfully defending London from air bombardment Clifford offered Tom to come to his home and meet his wife as well as to a West End show however, a German ace Hans Werner pounced on Clifford and Tom engaged him. After coming out victorious Tom frantically called for his friend but sadly Clifford died in the fight while trying to control his plane after he was shot up. Devastated, Tom was about to quit flying for the Allies until the United states joined the war after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Tom filed for a Transfer and was in the 352 Squadron knows Victor Squadron. His first mission is to escort B17 Flying Fortresses of the 91st wing to bomb an airfield on the outskirts of Paris but only midway because of the P47 thunderbolt did not having any external fuel tanks. Tom would later comment that it would be a free meal when he was defending Britain. After repelling the first wave of Nazi fighters there were German spies within Bomber formation Tom made quick work to the fake B17s. Still haven’t reached the point where the bomber have to do their mission. Two B17s The Marmoset and The Johnny Appleseed were critically damaged and had to leave the bomber formation and return to base however they were bounced by a couple of me 109s from the first wave Tom told the rest of to stay with bomber formation while he protects the injured bombers but it was trap set up by a squadron of Fw 190s. Forester caught up with his squadron and destroyed the German fighters. The Bombers successfully reached the midway point and Victor squad left to escort the Marmoset and Johnny Appleseed to base but bombers were shot down by a German ace named Ernest Jager. Tom Clashed with the merciless ace alone and won however Ernest manages to bail out before his plane exploded. On October, 1943  The United States air command came up with idea of ending the war quickly by destroying a ball bearing plant in Schweinfurt and destroying an aircraft factory in Regensburg but it ultimately failed because Tom and his squadron didn’t have a Fighter with the required range to escort the bombers. In some time in 1944 the 352nd Squadron was given the P51 Mustang. Once the 352nd have been given this plane they began to escort the bombers effectively however the base commander got the fame way over his head that caused Tom to Punch him in the face. On January 21, 1945 The 352nd’s mission is escort British  Lancaster Bombers to Berlin, Germany to destroy an airfield as well as some radar towers while on route to the first radar tower Tom reunites with Wandsworth a fighter pilot that Tom saved in the Battle of Britain. Tom introduces Jack Kawoski ( a young fighter pilot who Tom took under his wing after the first mission with victor squadron) to Wandsworth who said “old stoney would be proud.” The reunion was cut short when they were intercepted by of group of night fighters Tom and Jack made quick work of the night fighters. Continuing on the mission Victor Squad entered the next stage destroying templeoff  airbase Tom manages most of the aircraft on the ground but a Me262 ace and two Fw 190s took off and engaged Tom and were defeated. After returning back to base Tom went back to America and had a drink with his father and hid all of his medals away.

Review
The game has mixed reviews but to me I like it has a good story but the only thing I don’t like about it. It doesn’t have a radar or a compass to tell where you, your allies or enemies are that’s why people love it or hate it. It could have been better if the game had three pilots were in the same squadron but that’s another rant for another day.

Not to be confused with the 1979 arcade fighting game (Warrior), The Warriors is a beat’em up game made by Rockstar Toronto and published by Rockstar Games. The game was released on October 17, 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and the original Xbox and later the PlayStation portable as well as the PlayStation 3 on May 28,2013 via PlayStation Network. This game was also released on the PlayStation 4 on July 5,2016 via PlayStation. The game was based on the 1979 film with the same name and it was based on 1965  Novel of the same name. The game takes place in 1970’s New York City . The story follows a street gang called the Warriors, who were framed for a murder that they didn’t commit and have to fight their way to back to Coney Island where the gang resides.

Gameplay

The Warriors is an Action-Adventure game that focuses on brawling. Like most Rockstar games it has mature elements such as violence, drug and alcohol use, Adult Language, Partial Nudity and strong sexual themes. The main characters are Cleon: The leader, Swan: The Luitentant, Vermin and Cowboy : The Loyal Ones, Ajax and Snow: The Heavy Muscle, Fox: The Scout, Cochise: The Harlem Native and Rembrandt and Ash : the Graffiti Artist/ Recruit. Unlike the Grand theft auto games this game focuses on hand to hand combat. The Warriors’ hangout serves as a hub where the player can strengthen the playable character, Replay missions, listen to radio for the aftermath of the previous missions talk to the other gang members and play rumble mode which is the pinball machine also when the player beats the game there is an arcade game called Armies of the night which based off of Double Dragon. Outside the hangout, the player can explore The Warriors’ territory and some tasks like repelling the invading gangs or Feeding the homeless people. After preforming these tasks the player will be rewarded with Brass Knuckles and steel toe boots and subdue enemies with handcuffs. One the left side the screen there is the rage bar which fills up the player keeps on attacking once filled the player can unleash the characters rage which allows the player to be invincible for short period of time. On the bottom of the character’s feet is the characters health bar if goes low the player can buy Flash from the flash dealer which cost $20 to replenished the players’ health. along with the health bar there is gray bar which represents the amount of time you can hold a person. There are 18 missions in this game missions 1-13 is 3 months earlier and missions 14-18 are the events that happened in the movie. Also 5 flashbacks missions where it tells how each character started and joined the warriors.

Plot
The game starts off just like the movie following a gang named the Coney Island Warriors. 90 days earlier The Warriors led by Cleon was recruiting his newest member of the gang a graffiti artist by the name of Rembrandt. After his recruitment Rembrandt and the Warriors set out to build their reputation by defeating their rivals The Destroyers who reside on the eastern side of Coney Island, competing in graffiti contest in SoHo, helping the Saracens set up their rivals The Jones Street Boys and some corrupt police officers in Bensonhurst and finally going all city by tagging the new subway cars in Pelham Trainyard. On July 13,1979, The Riffs leader Cyrus issues a meeting with all of the Gangs of New York City at Van Courtland Park and The Warriors got invited. Cleon tells Swan to gather the chosen delegates for the meeting in the Bronx. On the night of meeting, Cyrus Proposes that the gangs to take every part of the city and everyone like the idea and started cheering. Amongst the crowd The Rouges’ leader Luther pulled out his gun and shot Cyrus. once Cyrus was killed At that moment Chaos erupted, in the confusion Luther frames Cleon and the Warriors. Hearing this The Riffs beat Cleon to death and puts a hit on the warriors on the radio. After escaping Van Courtland Park Swan took over as War chief and headed to the next train station which was in Turnbull A.C turf. The Warriors got on the Train After running from the Turn bulls that had the intent with killing or capturing the maroon clad gang. While on enroute to Brooklyn the train stopped at Tremont due to the tracks on fire leaving the warriors to go on foot. Only to re encounter The Orphans who were going let the Warriors leave until the leader’s ex girlfriend Mercy insulted her ex and his gang. Swan throws a Molotov Cocktail at a car and ran to the next train with Mercy in tow. The Warriors and Mercy arrived at the 96th street on Broadway However the police lockdown the station. Once they were detected by a patrolling police officer the warriors split up Swan, Ajax, Snow and Cowboy went upstairs while Cochise, Vermin and Rembrandt went to Union Square. While trying to catch up with the others, Fox and Mercy encountered another a cop Patrolling the station Mercy escaped but Fox struggled with the cop and was thrown into an oncoming train. While upstairs Swan, Ajax, Snow, and Cowboy encounter the Baseball Furies who chase them in to riverside park and then engage them. After the fight Ajax notices a woman sitting alone tries to have sex with her turns out she was an undercover cop and he was arrested. Meanwhile Vermin, Cochise and Rembrandt were waiting for the others but met the Lizzies and were taken to their hangout only to realize it was trap and found out that all the gang in the city were looking for them after they supposedly killed Cyrus . Swan meets up with Mercy traveled together to Union Square to meet up with the others but were stalked by the Punks. Once Swan and Mercy met up with the other Warriors they ambushed the Punks in the  train station’s bathroom. The Riffs got a tip off from a gang member who witness the person that shot Cyrus. The Warriors finally reached Coney Island but The Rouges were waiting for them and chased the Warriors to the beach. The Rouges’ leader Luther openly admits that he killed Cyrus. Swan engages Luther one on one but Luther pulls out his gun Swan throw his knife at Luther disarming him. The Riffs arrive and told the Warriors that they were innocent and allowed to walk back to their hangout while they deal with the Rouges. The game ends with Swan, his new girlfriend Mercy and the rest of the warriors walking back to their hangout as their run through the city was over.

Reception
The Warriors game received positive reviews after it’s released. Ign giving it an 8 out of 10 for deep combat and control and Metacritic gives this game a 85 out of 100 for it’s unique seedy underbelly style along with it’s music. I myself love this game and I beaten this game myself numerous times

 

 

 

 

Ace Combat Zero is a flight simulator game made by Bandi Namco Games in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, and is the eighth installment of the Ace Combat Series.

Gameplay
Ace Combat zero’s gameplay is split into Single player campaign and Multiplayer mode. this game features fighter jets from the second generation such as the Mig 21 fishbed to the fifth generation such as the f-22 raptor also there is advanced aircraft that are from the previous ace combat games like the ADF-01 Falken from Ace Combat 5 and ADFX-02 Morgan. Players also can unlock the X-02 Wyvren from ace combat 4.

This game brought back Ace combat 4’s Aircraft customization system which allows players to buy three special weapons per plane however can only choose one for the mission and choose one special weapon for wingman but never the fighter aircraft another element form Ace Combat 4 is that the player can withdraw from the battle and replenish the fighter aircraft’s missiles and special weapons at home base. Like it’s sequel Ace Combat 5 the player can issue orders to wingman such as Attack, Disperse, use special weapons and cover the player. Another feature of this game like the previous games is the enemy aces with unique paint schemes that will appear in many mission depending on the difficulty of the game as well the introduction of the boss squadrons that player would face against. Also all of the pilots information could be looked at the assault records

Ace Style

The only element that is new to the Ace Combat series. In the story mode the player would encounter enemy targets that are incapable of fighting or less of a threat to the player, both are marked as yellow dots on the map and on the HUD. After every mission there is a horizontal bar below the score board with three boxes marked as “Mercenary,” “Solider,” and “Knight” depending player’s actions the bar would slide to the left, stay in the middle or go to the right if the player destroys the yellow targets or not.

Setting

Ace Combat Zero takes place in 1995,15 years before the events of Ace Combat 5 the Unsung war, revolving around a conflict between The Principality of Belka and Allied Forces which consist of the Osean Federation, The Union of Yuktobanian Republics, Republic of Usito, and the Kingdom of Sapin. The war was briefly mentioned in the beginning of the Unsung war’s story mode cutscene. Seven years before the war there was political unrest in Belka and the Belkan Government had to allow countries like the Republic of Usito to have their independence however, this was not enough to fix their economy seizing the opportunity Osea, a leading superpower expands eastward. Fearing for the worst an extreme right wing party took over the government and focused on returning Belka like it used to be. Once Belka had learned Usito had natural resources they invaded on March 25,1995.

Characters

The Player assumes the role of a mysterious mercenary pilot Cipher commissioned by the Usitian Air Force. His wingman is another mercenary pilot named Larry “Pixy” Foulke and later Patrick “PJ” James Beckett. Most of game’s narrative is through the eyes of an Oesan Journalist named Brett Thompson who interviews the former fighter pilots that fought with cipher with the intent on getting to know who the mysterious mercenary.

Plot

In March 1995 Belka quickly invaded Osea, Usito and Sapin for their natural resources in order to make the country great again. unable to stop the Belkan war machine the three countries join forces along with another country Osea’s rival  Yuktobania and formed the Allied forces. Cipher and Pixy of the Usitian 66th Air Division squadron known as Galm Team assisted the allied forces through many intense battles such as the offensive campaign 4101, Operation Varsity and Operation Battle-Axe. Although the Allied Forces were successful with the help of Galm team Larry starts to question his role in this war after he escorted Allied Bombers to an industrial city named Hoffnung and witnessed the carnage below as well the Belkan troops with in the area resorting to a scorched earth policy. On edge of defeat, Belka detonated seven nuclear bombs on their own cities to prevent the Allies from advancing any further. In the confusion Larry betrays his flight lead Cipher and fled from the battle after that Cipher has a new wingman by the name of Patrick Beckett callsign “PJ”, they both defeated a renegade faction of Belkan troops that were stationed at Belka’s northern coast while a peace treaty to reduce belka’s military and gain some of Belka’s resource rich territory on June 20,1995. During a six month period of peace, soldiers and pilots from both the allies and belka disagreed with the treaty and formed a terrorist organization named A World with No Boundaries. On December 25,1995 A World with No Boundaries attacked Valais airbase with a heavy air cruiser called XB-0 Hresvelgr along with the escort of a renegade Sapinish fighter squadron known as Espada, Cipher and PJ went after them and defeated them. Six days later A World with no Boundaries threaten to use an intercontinental ballistic missile codename V2 and launch it from there base located in northern Belka. Cipher, PJ, and the rest of the Allied Forces head over to the terrorist base while on route Cipher and PJ were ambushed by a fighter squadron depending on your ace style despite this Galm team managed to defeat them and join up with the allied to attack the base. After destroying the components that would launch V2 PJ talks about proposing to his Girlfriend back at the base however PJ was instantly shot down and killed by Foulke who defected to the A World With No Boundaries and acquired a super fighter jet the ADX-02 Morgan. Cipher engaged his former wingman and came out victorious. After months of interviewing the aces that fought with Cipher, Brett Thompson managed to tracked down Larry who survived the engagement with Cipher and fighting in some war also still delusional of what countries mean. His last words in the Interview were “yo buddy you still alive” and hopes that Cipher watching. After that concludes that there was no personal information about the mercenary but with the Interviews of the pilots and the they give that was his answer.
